hello everyone i was just wondering what sort of modifications i can make to make a big jump in performance. I have an 05 Ford Ranger 4.0 4x4 5 speed tranny and it is almost completely standard except for 4x4 of course, ext cab and towing package. i was thinking of intake but i wasnt sure. a buddy suggested forced induction and i was wondering super or turbocharge? also where could i find one and how much money it would cost. the truck has 55k mi and runs great. best money i've ever spent. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

A big jump in performance?

Buy a Mustang.

Yes, you can do something with forced induction, but it will be EXPENSIVE and unreliable.

A statement of goals might be a good idea.....the engine is often the wrong target.

Have you ever heard of the saying "Fast, Cheap, Reliable; Pick 2"?

Seriously think about it.

Those grilles look like they are completly interchangible. It is probably as simple as opening the hood, and taking off the 6ish small bolts that hold it on. Go to a dealership that has one available in chrome and open the hood and take a look at it to make sure its the same.
