I'm planning on purchasing a performance chip (BamaChips) for my '94 Ranger 4X4. Can anyone tell me where the computer is located? I would also appreciate some input on the BamaChips or any other brand. Which is better?

reprogrammable

look for a chip that can be easily reprogrammed in case you ever buy an aftermarket cam, headers, porting, etc.you may need to change it to prevent detonation or tune the fuel curve some time.

As far as I know, bama dosent go back to 94.

I am in the process of starting my own tuning company, using the same brand tuners that bama resells, plus the programmable chips to go back even further, but unfortunetly I probably wont be up and running untill after the first of the year.

Keep us posted on that.
