PCM question about Explorer 5.0 swap

Ok ive searched and searched and havn't fount too much about it.
here is my situation.

I have a 1998 ranger that was a 2.5 5 speed 2wd.
I am in the process of swapping a 1998 Explorer 5.0. I understang most of the wiring part of it. I am running a m5r2 5 speed trans and its gonna be 2wd. I am also gonna have an off road h pipe on it and no o2 sensors along with a trick flow stage one cam and ford racing headers.

What I am looking to find out is there any programmer out there that I can modify the pcm to take out the auto transmission codes and o2 codes and possibly program for the cam or do i need to just have the pcm sent out and flashed buy someone? If I have to send it out is there a place anyone would recomment. I've seen a couple posts about 2 different places. What is everones take on where to send it(if i have to)?
Also is there anyway if i send it out they can take the pats out of the pcm??? that would be a heck of a lot easier than transfering all the pats parts from the explorer.

Dasfinc just posted a little while ago that he took the PAT's out of his, I think with a hand held. A lot of tuners can delete the transmission functions and tune for what you're running. You say you're going to use the Ford Racing headers, hope they are the ones that fit the Explorer/Ranger and "P" heads. Keep us to date on progress.

yes they are the ranger explorer headers. any suggestion on a tuner? im gonna try to get some pics up soon.

I'd love to know what tuner I could buy to delete the auto trans for myself as I'm swapping in a 99 Exp 5.0 to my 00 Ranger which will be using a T5.
 
I contacted Clint Garrity via Moates site. He got back to me within minutes and gave me Adam Marrer at popsracing.com as a contact.

Adam also contacted me within minutes and we talked on the phone for a while. I told Adam that I have no intentions of modifying the engine in the future and that this is all that I really need so he suggested I forego buying the Quarterhorse and have him reflash my PCM. He assures me that he can "remove" all trans I/O requirements. He said it may take more than one try to be sure, so I bought an extra PCM on ebay and I'm shipping two to him. That way I can still drive the vehicle while shipping one back if need be. Seems like a really nice guy. I'll let you all know how it goes.
