PATS Question?

I am in the middle of the 4.0 ohv swap into my racer. The engine came out of 2000 explorer which has pats. I am trying to figure out how to use my ecu out of explorer if possible just to get race season started then later i plan to chip it. Anyone know what is disabled with Pats? starter? ignition? If so i just want to be able to wire it up manually so that i can get away with this ecu right now if possible... any help would be great thanks!

Don't know if this is any help but last year a friend of a friend lost his pats key for his 2000 ranger with a 4 liter. he had a plain key so we could open the door and turn on the ignition. If we jumped the solenoid to spin the starter it would fire if we squirted fuel into the intake.

Ok so sounds like it cuz fuel pump and starter. Both easy enough to wire up or bypass. Thanks alot man. Ill give it a try.
