So after I just did all of this work to the front axle on my ranger, I decided to take it in to have it aligned so I could finally wheel it this weekend. I drove it to the shop to have it aligned and it pulled to the right like a SOB. You could see the toe-in was not even close to where it should be. I get a call this morning from the shop saying my passenger side front wheel is sitting about half an inch behind the drivers front wheel and they can't align it :annoyed: Where do I begin? could it be a bent beam? something screwed up with the radius arms? :dunno: I haven't had the greatest luck with this ranger and really just wanted something to play with this summer but it's not looking too hopeful anymore. I've got a couple sets of beams, skyjacker drop brackets, extended radius arms and different front coils i was planning on swapping in this winter. Maybe i should swap them in now? Or take it to a shop to check the frame? Any help?

Ah! yet another shop that can't align a ford front end using their fancy machines. There's a whole bunch of guys on here that can align one with a broomstick and a piece of string.

The wheels don't sit perfectly evenly. Because of the way the beam sit the wheels don't sit evenly. It's called offset, and most alignment guys under the age of 50 have never heard of it.

Drive around, look for an alignment shop with a guy who is literally farting dust, and have them do it. Also, any guy worth the name should be able to look at the readings on the screen, take two or three measurements with a tape, and tell you what is bent. If he can't do that, go somewhere else.

Thank you for the advise adsm, I'm going to try one more shop that has been around for a long time and see what they have to say.
