i have an 88 ford ranger 2.9l 4x4 5spd. i got in an accident about 2 months ago and it took out my power steering box. i put about 600 into replacing it and have had no problems since. a few days ago i noticed some really bad wear to my front passenger side tire. all the tires are about 6 months old with the other three in almost perfect shape. why is the one tire getting torn up so bad??

sounds like a suspension component might be bent or worn out on that side, or your alignment is out.

Definately get it to an alignment shop. Get it checked out and fixed before you spend a small fortune on tires. Was the accident your fault? If it wasn't make sure you get with the other person's insurance company so they can cover it.

thank God you posted a tire question in the LIGHTING/ILLUMINATION forum.

i have that same problem. i think mine is a bearing tho. sometimes while im driving i get this real bad vibration. kinda feels like the truck is bouncing up and down. but if i speed up or slow down it goes away.
