I do not know where to post this.
I was looking for replacement glass and how to videos.
Found one how to video but it was edited and did not show
the steps. All complete. on Youtube.

The 2 pins and plastic looking washers, are the rivet or push
clamps just drilled out.
If that is so.
Then what do I use to replace the pins.

A new glass at glass shop is $188.00 I am trying to do it
much better price.
Another option is just to get different doors
but then are doors hard to get hung and lined up right.

And whould I have a chance of breaking the windows
when I try ti change the locks.

The Upull parts places near me, do not have many if any older Rangers any
more. And parts are getting hard to find.

Thank you
Paul

If the window glass is not factory-curved, you can have a new window glass cut-to-fit for about $80

I had to go that route on my '36 Ranger mod.

other than that...I'd cut a piece of plexi-glass to fit the opening until I found a junkyard glass

All info is from a 96 ranger (2dr), applies to a 99 ranger (ex cab). It probably applies to yours as well:
The window glass is riveted in to the lift mechanism through a plastic/metal grommet. Drill the rivets out. When I replaced mine, I used an appropriate sized bolt with lock-tite on it. Put the bolt through the large plastic/metal grommet.

Changing the locks has nothing to do with the glass, and will not interfere if the glass is rolled up (window closed).

Changing the lock involves rotating a clip on the rod to remove the rod, and pulling a spring clip on the door jamb so you can pull the keyway. PM me if you want pics of the outside spring clip.

Thanks for your replies and help

I went to a salvage yard and let them talk me into just getting a door, its a better door than I have, the door cost me $100. and I will have to paint it,
They said a door would be easier to change then the glass.

Needless to say, its a big problem to get the door to line up. I am going
to search door install now, thanks.

doors arn't too hard, its just a matter of getting the bolts started and ajusting slightly. the door locks are easy to swap too, inside the door jam on the door near the lock is a small 1/4 inch flat metal tab. it pulls out and the lock is now free. the lock cylinder is hooked in to a little wire thingy, you'll figure it out..
