Parking Problem

My truck has just started this thing where it doesnt go in park. 1 out of 5 times it will engage, but other than that I have to put in nuetral to start and have to park in nuetral and use E-Brake... anyone have any idea.... drives great in forward and reverse ... shifts easy just not into park?

The cable is probably out of adjustment.

But before you go adjusting things, check the cables routing. I had a customer with the same problem, I was adjusting the cable, when it snapped, because it was melted by the y-pipe.

oh ok thanks... as I was messing with it yesterday i noticed it also wont go in superlow or 1st.... Sono Park or first Why would it not go in both outside gears...... still the cable ?
