I'm not sure if this would fall into this category but here goes.
Could someone provide a photo showing how the parking brake cable is connected to the parking brake pedal on a 91 Ranger?
My brake cable broke at the pedal and fell out before I could see where to attach the new one.

Thanks a bunch

There's a small armature with a round end and a slot cut in the side, with a slightly larger hole in one area. You should be able to spot it by releasing and depressing the pedal and looking in there with a 2xAA maglite stuck in your teeth. The end of the cable should have a cylindrical termination on it that'll fit inside that. You have to wiggle the ball on the end of the cable into the opening and the cable along the slot so that it ends up inside that armature, thus applying pressure will 'pull' the cable.

Don't worry if it takes you a million tries or so, it's normal to be that difficult to get in there right.
