Just got a basic, homebuilt flatbed trailer, 7x10. diamond plate deck and really rusty. Im considering painting it with fibered roof paint, I know that stuff wouldnt be slippery when wet and it sticks pretty well ( hell any thing you get it on that you werent supposed to keeps it there forever ) Its about 45 for a 5 gallon bucket, more than I need but I dont think it comes in 1 gallon cans. Thought about bedliner but havent priced it, Im guessing it aint cheap. Rest of trailer might get a industrial yellow (like caterpillar) anyone tried roof paint on a metal trailer deck? Worst it can do is flake off. Give it a try.

Only one way to find out. Another option is paint with sand in it. Just an idea if the roof stuff doesn’t pan out.

I painted the roof of a sea container with a gallon of rustoleum oil based metal paint. Gloss grey. Its been about 5 years and held up very well. I just rolled it on and brush dabbed what the roller couldnt reach. One gallon did 2 coats and then some.
