What do you guys think if I painted my fender flares in bed liner. Ive tried to paint them in regular spray paint before but it chipped off. I don't know if I didn't sand it good enough or if it was the plastic. I remember sanding it pretty good and the plastic still felt too smooth. So if I sanded It good would the bed liner chip off? Any input is appreciated.

did you use plastic spray? its amazing the difference.

as to your question, you could, but ive heard bedliner is hard to keep clean, and judging by your truck, you like it clean.

Id just look into aftermarket ones if i was in your situation.

Its only really clean in that picture cuz it got new shoes that day. I'll try bed liner and if it looks crappy after a few months ill just buy new ones. Thanks.

I used that hard textured looking rocker guard on my bumper, after cleaning with windex and it has held up well.
I did my fender flares with OD Green krylon spray paint, didn't sand just cleaned with windex again, and it turned out good as well, no chipping.

If they're textured flares, don't sand them, it will gouge them unless you use really fine sand paper. I painted mine with fusion plastic paint, the bottom rocker area is done with bed liner. The bedliner holds stains kinda, you have to scrub it with a brush to get stains out even after you wash it. The fender flares don't look as good in bedliner in my opinion.

Oh mine is textured. So I just use plastic spray paint without standing it? I have trim and bumper paint would that work? Oh and should I put finish on it?

I jus painted mine over the weekend and it kept chippin. I had to go over it with 400 grit sandpaper a couple times till it finally stuck.

if you use plastic paint, it shouldnt chip off. you could use model paint. i use it on my RC cars. flexable. doesnt chip.

Sweet. Thanks guys.

i used a black spray paint just for plastic on mine and the results are awesome and i didnt even sand them
