ok. so in the next few months my truck is going to get painted due to rust and other things getting done. i'm trying to decide if i want to go with a newer toreador red metallic sort of color or go with dark shadow gray metallic. i'm really just trying to get rid of the ugly faded red on there now. it looks pink sometimes.

so here is my truck now

and here is the dsg. you might recognize this member

either color i do will have all of the full size lights (cab lights, lighted 06^ mirrors, maybe led strip under the tailgate), fx4 logo?, and black trim and such.

so what do you think?

Stick with the OE color (saves on jamming and back of cab) plus add a gunmetal gray. 2 tone it!

Yeah I would also stick with the OE color, it will look much better as fresh paint I'm sure! But if you really want to you could also two tone it with red on red... that could look pretty sweet.

Well. Even if I did a newer red I wouldn't worry about the jamming and stuff because its still red and wouldn't be like if you had a green truck with red jamming. It wouldn't. Be noticable. I'm probablly gonna touch up the interior trim anyway. I have a small air gun too that I would use with the color I choose. So instead of taking all the interior out and doing that ill just tape off everything and do that

I gotta say the Red! I like DSGM (color of my 99), but I like that red even better. If that toreador red metallic ranger had been sitting on the lot when I bought my truck I would have gotten it instead!

As long as you don't care bout the difference go for red. I still like a gunmetal on top of the OE color!

Are you going to put Super Duty mirrors on your truck?

no. but the same idea. i'm going to get a set of 06+ mirrors like the gray ranger up above has. and find a low profile marker light that i like and mount it on the outside. so basically the full size but in a ranger sized package
