Pacific northwest newbie!

Hey all, new to the forums and a first time Ranger owner.

My Ranger is an '86 2wd extracab and it has issues but I kind of like it anyways. Has anyone else had theirs go into neutral when its cold? This is my biggest issue with my truck . Any pointers?

when its super cold my truck also goes into nuetral and will not go into any gear unless i put it in park and shut it sdown and start it again i dontt know what it is

Thanks Patrick. I usually try to wait it out, but I'll try restarting it too. I'm hoping theres a simple fix to this though.
