Hi all. Im new to the forums and I have a problem with my ranger. Its a 98 with the 2.5 liter. Ive noticed that during acceleration it sounds like it has a bog and it feels like it is lacking power. I went to auto zone to have the code pulled and it showed P1401. I cant remember exactly what it meant but it was something like "1. High voltage from EGR pressure sensor or 2. Short in wiring". Since then I have changed the EGR pressure sensor, the EGR valve, and Ive had the catalytic converter checked out but it was fine. But still the same code comes up. Ive also noticed a fuel mileage drop. Before I had any problems, I was getting 21-22 mpg. Now Im getting 18-19 mpg. I hope someone that has had this problem before can help me out and I really hope it isnt a short somewhere in the wiring because I really have no idea how to find it. Thanks in advance!

Yes. But we never even turned the truck on and ran the computer again to check it and it showed back up. Plus I still have the bog, loss of power, and worse fuel mileage.
