P1309 misfire monitor malfunction

I have a 1999 ford ranger 3.0 flex fuel the camshaft syncronizer had teeth missing and i had lost oil pressure. I replace the oil pump and the syncronizer with sensor and now im getting code P1309 misfire monitor malfunction. I marked the old sync and installed the new one with same timing but im worried it has something to do with the teeth missing off the old one. I've replace plugs and wires as well.

If you installed the syncro correct, the code should not come up. You maybe a tooth off. You can try turning it a bit one way or the other and see if that helps.

You did hand turn the motor to tdc on cyl 1 when you reinstalled it and used the correct aligning tool, correct?
