Have a 97 4.0 that is throwing the P1151 code. I just replaced both heads that were cracked and the truck is running great. This code was showing up before the heads were replaced, and now after as well. There isn't any driveablitly issues that I can tell, but the CEL is annoying. I have a scanner and can read and clear the codes anytime. I also just replaced both the b1s1 b2s1 O2 sensors about a year & 5K miles ago (didn't drive the truck much 'cause it was burning coolant). Could those O2 sensors have been damaged by the steam that the engine was expelling because of the cracked heads? I don't want to just start replacing parts, I'd like to troubleshoot if anyone knows where I should start. Given that the engine was blowing steam/water out of the tailpipe where would you start to solve this problem?:icon_confused:

Didn't get any replies, but figured it out anyway. Truck solved it for me actually. I ended up getting another OBD II code, p0153, which was a malfunctioning B2S1 02 sensor. So I changed that 02 sensor, cleaned the MAF sensor and changed the oil while I was at it. Codes haven't come back on after about 100 miles.
