Hello everyone, after a long trip these 4 codes showed up, there where no codes before the trip: P0402, P1401, P1443, P1405. What could be the issue?. It is a 1995 XL 2.3 manual transmission.

Cheers.

Sounds like possibly the dpfe or egr valve.

The p1443 is the only code that doesn't pertain to the egr. That code is saying the thermistor is seeing little or no flow from the charcoal canister. (I'm fighting this one now)

Or, it could just be a big ol' vacuum leak. Check for vacuum at the egr valve.

You should post the code definitions with the codes since you already looked them up, I would assume.

P0xxx is a generic OBD2 code, not maker/manufacturer specific
P1xxx is a Maker specific code, in this case a Ford code

P1401 - Diff Pressure Feedback EGR Circuit High Input
P1405 - Diff Pressure Feedback Sensor(DPFE sensor) Upstream Hose Off/Plugged <<<<

P0402 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation(EGR) Flow Excessive Detected

These are all related, and could be cause by the unplugged or blocked DPFE sensor hose, so check that first
DPFE sensor has 2 hoses that run to the EGR's exhaust tube, check both.

P1443 - Evaporative Emission System(EVAP) Control Valve (low/no flow)
As said above not related to the other 3 codes

All gas tanks are sealed now, when engine is running it's intake manifold vacuum is used to suck air out of the gas tank and thru a charcoal filter, to prevent gas fumes from polluting the air, as you drive the gas sloshes around in the tank and creates alot of vapor/pollution.
This is called an EVAP system
Yours is not sucking in gas tank air correctly

I found a rotten hose attached to the charcoal canister, I replaced it, cleared the codes and went for a long drive, codes are not showing again, hopefully that fixed it, time will tell. Thanks a lot for all the useful help as usual.

Cheers.
