I own a 95 Ranger 4.0 with 5 spd. trans. Just as the throttle opens, I get a whoooooo noise from the engine compartment. If I separate the two havles of the air filter canister slightly it seems to go away somewhat. I replaced the air filter but did not help. Talking with a truck, auto mechanic of mine, he told me to pick up a berryman kit ,which I did. It cleans the throttle body, intake manifold, combustion chambers and injectors after use. He told me what causes this noise is the plastic intake manifold is vibrating. After using this kit ,the noise went away for about 300 miles, but has returned again. Has any of you fellow ranger enthusiasts come across this problem? If so ,what did you find for a cure? Thanks, Ed Cutler
