When you have a strap permanently attached to the front--who were you outwheeling?

i had it there just incase, i dont want to get stuck then crawl under to hook it up if i got stopped.

id say the strap is a pretty good idea, i know several time ive had to dig out from under the front or the back just to get a strap in there..

yep, it only takes one or two good stucks to make you attach them before anything happens

so what rigs did you 'out wheel'? what obstacles did you make it through that they didn't? just curious

i like how this was a post your pics thread and it seems like someone is trying to turn it into an agruement...

geezz just go with it:icon_idea:

well i made it up 3 or 4 rocky sections without bing winched, and i did 3 hills that jeeps with big tires/lockers had packed snow down to ice. and then they told me i cant flex so i posed on that rock. i earned a bit of respect on those runs. that run a blue tj locked with 33's got stuck and i was following, i didnt want to stop and get stuck too so i passed him through deeper snow and made it to the top. the last pic i went with thumper113, and made it all the way to a really rockey section, i turned back beacuse i didnt want to take a chance on smashing up my rig. that was the only run i had problems on. i think for haveing tiny m/t's being open in the front and a limited slip in the rear i out wheeled a few ppl and surprized a few too:blush:

its there so he can pull people out in reverse :icon_twisted:

I usually end up wheelin with a strap permanently attached to the front or back. Saves the hassle of crawling around in a mud hole to find a hook when I need to get pulled....or, more frequently, pull someone else out.

It's common for people to have it pinned to the receiver and tossed into the bed. just never seen one on the front. Although when I had a slow-arse Harbor Freight winch I commonly did that with the cable rather than spend ten minutes of valuable life winding it back in.

i have it looped through itself around the frame front/rear. after my other ranger is fixed this one will get bumpers with a winch

Im getting reciever style bumpers made for 135 a peice!!!!!! then I just gotta pick up a cradle mount winch.:icon_cheers:

which ought to get me to the mall no problem
