I'm looking for a topper like this https://atoverland.com/pages/at-atlas-truck-topper- I just want to have a bed and a place to change my clothes and take a dump in the back of my truck when I'm at an offroad park.

I have a Ram 2500 with a 6.5' bed, so weight isnt a problem. I've got a friend that's a dealer for AT overland's stuff but it's very pricey and I'm just not sure they're as big as they look online

That gives us something to work with and gives us an idea what to look for. I was looking at those at one time as well but the price they want for them drove me away.

A slide in is like $25k these days. I found it pretty shocking. The thing I like about this style is that i can still use the bed of my truck for truck things

I love the concept of the type you want. I just can't justify spending what they want for an empty shell. I spent less for my softopper, over cage, and RTT and get almost the same thing.

It's funny because I cant look at the RTT and justify that money, but feel better about these toppers. almost bought a friends trailer setup that had one

Well, I may not be able to stay for this. It all depends on if Zane comes along on the Vagabond trip. He has SATs or ACTs or something. They are doing them that Friday and Saturday. I would have to haul butt home when we get to the Expo to get him home in time to take them Saturday. I was looking forward to checking out the expo. I've never been to one this size before. But his education comes first. Plus, being hw just turned 18, this may be the least time I can get him to tag along with us "old guys," haha.

I can talk to the wife and see if she wants to drive down for the day or something. We are only about 5 hours away but school starts for her a few days before that so I'm not sure if she will want to drive that much. I might just roll down there solo and at least stop in to say hi.

I'm bringing a pretty good hunk of 550 cord. We'll be able to string it up somewhere.
