so my headers have an oval outlet, and my cat-shell has the dual round port.

where might i aquire, or how might i fabricate a flange that will tie the oval port header y-pipe into the rest of my exhaust system?

i'd like to go from oval to 2.25 round pipe, and if it'll help you sleep better, feel free to assume i'm going to splice in a universal cat, because this exercise is to avoid spending 200+ dollars on a direct fit converter.

You might find an old converter in the junk yard and get the flange off of it and make a pipe to take it down to 2.25. I have seen some header reducers that are funnel shaped that wasn't really expensive and would give a smooth transition from large to small.

Check out gwaii's gt12 build in the non rbv section. He explains in great detail the easy way to make such things.
