if i wanted to get another truck(preferably a beater), what should i get, like yota, dodge, chevy, gmc, etc etc

98-01 2.5L ranger.....AWESOME mileage, they seem to last forever, can be had for pretty darn cheap($3500 and under), and it's always a cool thing to have one lifted and one lowered ranger. haha. But maybe that's my idea of a 'beater' cuz I want a 2wd project now. lol.

82-85 or 86-89 or even 90-94 Toyotas seem to last forever as well, and there's tons of aftermarket for 'em too. I owned a couple in the past...good little trucks.

yeah, my dad had a t100 2wd, and he sayd it went everywhere

Not talking those 'sub-full size/lil bit bigger than compact but toyota called it a full size' toyotas. I'm talking the...uh....Toyota before names were attached. lol. Toyota Pickup's? lol. Not tacoma, but what came before Tacoma. lol.

Weren't those the ones where the frames all rusted out and Toyota bought them all back, yet you never heard about it on the news? Or were those the mid-90's Taco's?

Edit: 95-2000 was what I was thinking of.

What kind of beater are you looking for? Early 90's F150's can be had cheap as hell and are easy to work on, basically a big Ranger.

its actually called a Hilux but since it was the only model avail. in the US until the T100 the Hilux name was dropped around 1976 or so for the US market.

i love my ranger but T100 is the way to go. my friend has one that just rolled 300,000 no smoke no rebuild.

Find yourself a 4.9L anything. If you want a beater you can beat it, if you want to drive it, you can drive it, if you don't want it to blow up, you can do just about anything to it.
