ordering new wheels soft 8s?

hey everyone new to the forum here this is actually for my brothers truck heres the deal
he has a 97 explorer 5.0 auto his tires are shot there 15s i have a set of 245/75/R16 tires and hes planning on ordering new wheels what is the CORRECT backspacing i need for a 16 inch tire. i called up summit and asked if the 16x7 cragar soft 8s would work they have a 4 inch backspacing he thinks it will be rubbing against the caliper. who here has soft 8s on there explorer and what size remember this is a 97

ive looked at countless pictures describing offset backspacing it still confuses me just wanna know what size i need to order before one of my tires blowout

I think you will want wheels with a 3.75" backspace
