to start off i have a 94 2wd 2.3 5 speed 373 gears open diff and 235-75-15 tires. i do mostly on road driving but want a locker for when i do the whole pre-runner field deal. when i went to there site they recommend a powertracxs traction system. whats the difference between this and the regular lock rite? also where is the bottom line cheapest place to get these? not looking to spend all my tax return on it haha

The "Powertrax system" is a fancy name for the No-slip, a fancier brother of the lock-right. The no slip has extra springs and synchros in it that make it smoother than the lock-right. I've owned a lock-right and driven a No-slip, the No Slip is noticeably smoother and it's hard to tell it's even there compared to a lock-right.

I've had the No-Slip in and very pleased with it. Got another to put in another rear end. Easy to install. Hardest thing is to keep the toothed coupling gears aligned so this time I painted the matching teeth, the gears only go together one way. Got mine on E-Bay

How much was yours on eBay?

I paid $390 from a 4x4 place out in CO but that was 15-18 months ago.
