I was trying to replace my bearings and found out I had some issues, now I'm trying to get a good wear pattern and would like other people's opinions. This is my first attempt to set ring and pinion up. I had a buddy of a guy I worked with set them up originally, I believe he did a bad job. The crush sleeve wasn't fully crushed, it was missing the oil slinger and the tone ring for the abs. The shims on the carrier fell out with ease (I added .030 just to make it tight) The guy had .250 on each side, is it normal to be the same on both sides? Any help would be appreciated, I'm attaching the pictures of my wear pattern. I have .011in backlash.
