So my welder buddy and I are starting the bumper build soon. Anything y'all suggest? He wants a basic design, did anybody make one up? Or what do you think looks best? I'm making it mountable for a pair of daylighters and bolt on. I know I want a bar over the lights projecting out in front of the grille, cause I don't like the style where the lights are the highest point. Any pointers, suggestions, or things y'all would have done differently? And alsowhat kind of tubing should I get and sheet metal for mounting and bracketry? Thanks!!!

first thing you need to do is figure out the shape of the bumper. is it going to be just straight across the front of the truck or is it going to wrap around the sides like the original one did? are you going to put tow points on it or weld in a 2" reciever as you anchor point? there are so many levels of fab on here that the sky is the limit ( well, actually its going you fab skill that will be the limit). i believe there is a thread in the bumpers and body armor forum with lots of pics of everyones bumpers and skid plates. maybe you can get some ideas there on what you want it to look like, or at least an idea of what you dont want it to look like.

I think it's gonna wrap arond like the stock bumper. An anchor points.
