I've put a dana 30, 6.5in coils and home made long arms in my 85 ranger. im concerned the front drive shaft may be to short and could bind at full droop. Has anyone had any problem with that? if so, what did you do? Also is there a way to adapted a 241 t-case to a stock ranger manual trans? I was just thinking, its strong and maybe a little lower geared.

Those have to be some Terrible u-joint angles. If you are worried about eating the splines but dont use 4wd on the road swap in a 1354, make a square drive shaft with a big slip in it. It wont be balanced but you wont have to worry about stripping the splines. Some of the members here run a double cardan joint at the pig and the stock slip joint on vehicles with extreme travel.
