Omg! We're All N00bs!

I'm baaack... haw haw haw. Nice to see everyone here, I was getting bored on my lunch breaks.

Anyone know where I can get some piston return springs for my 2.3L?:D

welcome back, and we've been over this, go to Advanced Auto, they'll be in the same aisle as the headlight fluid :)

nope, they're in next to the muffler bearings in the help isle. The headlight fluid is in the same isle as the blinker fluid right next to the muffler flush kits.

Ok so on a new topic I welded up my rear diff and now I cant move my truck.

I welded the big circle thing with teeth on it to the other thing with teeth. Why wont it move? I thought this was going to give me posi?

How come my tire wont come off when i pull it? Its got these metal things in front of it, but surely THAT cant be holding it on!

I believe they're welded on. Gonna need a grinder, two torches, and a turkey sammich to get it off.

Beer might help.

I think you gotta cut the wheels off with a plazma cutter and weld them back on when your done

Huh. One of mine fell off all by itself. Help me find another one.

OK, I've got an older ranger with a 2.0. I've welded the 7.5 rearend, also welded the the D28 up front. I just put on a set of new IROC 49 inch tires. My only question is how big a hill am I going to need to get it rolling? Also, how much crome do I need to add 50 horse power. Will a larger battery give me more torque?

It good to see the sight up and running.

First off the D 28 and 7.5 can hold up to 50" tires so you are good there;)

Hill wise you should need about 60 degree pitch.

And you dont need crome you need stickers:D

You don't need to start on a hill if you have 3.08 gears. Cuz the engine doesn't have to turn as much to make the tires turn, so if you floor it to 5000 rpm, then your tires will turn at about....a bajillion rpm!
