you can get new brake pads from canadian tire for 20$ i would go to the junkyard to see if you can find some rotors that can be machined.

ok well this is just a quick reply ... i was going to install a cd player in the ranger and get rid of the am only radio, but i spliced the 4 wire radio system in the ranger into the sony plug \power on radio to"bat, key on power wires on sony connector" then the 2 speaker wires to one of the speaker wires on the sony connector worked fine untill i turned on head lights it turns off radio lol im very confused as to why the stock radio wire would be run threw the headlight switch, can this problem be solved by adding a wire off the fuse box {acc's} for power???? or would i be beter off runing a power wire direct from bat with a togel switch in line to cut off power during sitting time???? im lost on this radio system with 4 wires lol

when i switched from an aftermarket cassette player to a pioneer cd player my power was already wired up to my cigarette lighter. it seems to work well. also my cb is wired to it too.

I can tell you exactly why the radio is cutting off when you turn the headlights on. With the four wire system it was supposed to be one wire for power, two for the speakers in the dash and the last one for lighting up the radio itself. The radio and speakers had a common ground through the antenna. And I'm willing to bet you ran your ground wire to that last wire that's supposed to light up the radio and when you turn the lights on it kills the radio. That wire will show a ground when you test it and then get 12volts when you turn the headlights on. Basically what you're going to have to do is run a new constant power wire for the yellow memory wire on the back of the radio to the battery or a constant power source in the fuse panel. And you'll be better off if you run new good speaker wires to the speakers while your at it. Connect the red power wire to the switched power that was orignally going to the AM radio. Normally the ground would be through the antenna but if your new radio has got a ground wire, connect the black ground wire to a good chassis point. Should be really easy.

And you have cruise control - nice! Even your seat upholstery looks good. And you can't beat the price!

yeah didnt even try it till other day works great... axcept im wanting to do the holly 2bbl swap to get rid of electronic idle control but im thinking illl need that for cruse or i could just remove cruze

The crusie control is a vacuum system but actived by electronics.

ok well i got pulled over today for no seat belt only to find that my licence was suspended for 90 days ... any one want a lil ol ranger for a work beater runs well...450.00

Now what are you going to do? I know people dont like to wear them but it does help keep you from getting pulled over and save you money. As for safty I'm not going into that. Dont give them a reason to pull you over and ticket you.

haha yeah i usualy were the heatbelt unless im out 4x4in but i guess its good i found out i have no licence before crossing border lol
