thinking about getting a carbed 302 and a t-5 tranny to put in my 95 3.0 ranger.will I beble to use the stock drive shaft and stock hyd. clutch or will I have to change the shaft and change the hyd. to cable?
the stock driveshaft in my 94 fit perfect with my 5.0 c4 swap. im not for shure what the length of a t5 is. I think there the same or close enough to run the factory ds. on the clutch I dont think very many people have had any good luck with trying to convert to a cable clutch. most run hydraulic. mcloid makes a hydraulic conversion slave cylinder for a t5. or you could use a external slave cylinder mounted to the bellhousing attached to the factory clutch fork.
Is your truck gonna be 4x4? I dont know much about 4x4's never had one. but I know c4's out of 2wd's can be picked up usually for $50-75. that needs a rebuild. ive never paid more than that. Alot of places will try to stick you on the rebuild cost though. there is a guy that lives about 20 miles from me that works for PTC and he rebuilds transmissions at his house on the side and only charges $350.00 well thats what he charged the last time he done one for me.
