We've been having problem with wasps in our area. We have found that if you take a brown paper bag blow it up and tie a string around the open end and hang it off of the area where the wasps are strongest. The wasps will think it is another hive and since they are territorial, they will generally leave that area alone. We've hung them about 30-50 feet from each other and have had very few wasps in the area, good for camping or things like that, and it doesn't take any space.

I have used pepper in the radiator of my old Dodge Spirit before. It worked.

Warm salt water works for a toothache, also.
