Just purchased JBA Shorty headers for my 2000 3.0 Flareside Sport. Wondering about the rest of the system. Anyone have any suggestions as to the headers back?

Well a cat back systems basically the only other thing you need. as you need the cats and you can get high flows but why spend the extra money... I got the dynomax system for about 200 bucks and that come with a muffler and the pipe before and after it. you may want to replace the muffler though as it is a quieter muffler. Unless you take long trips often in which case it starts sounding really good. Flowmasters are pretty well liked here a OG40 or delta 40 depending on if you want loud or mellower

I have a Gibson system on my Sport Trac that was real easy to install and sounds nice without being too loud.

Guess what I'm really asking is; Will the current exhaust bolt up to the headers from the cat forward? In which case I could go single OR dual from cat back. I'm looking for as deep and throaty as I can get from this engine. Thanks for your input.
