We had the best thread on sliders on the old site, anyone know how to access that or someone that kept all the pics and info from it. It had 4x4junkie warrlord and sleeping rangers trucks pictures and specs on there sliders

I may still have it saved. I know I did at one time but then I built my sliders and may have deleted it. I'll check when I get on my own comp (at school now)

ok sweet, post some pics fo your sliders too and some specs on them

sorry man, I deleted it. kinda pissed I did too-oh well. here's my build. pretty happy with how they turned out. 1" schedule 80 pipe, about 35 feet total. total cost I'd say around 120 bucks. if I had to do it again I'd spend the cash on a tube bender and use some 1.75" DOM. mainly cause I want to build bumpers in the future and that's also what I wanna use. oh well, the pipe was reletively cheap (the bender was real cheap) and it turned out to be a nice little project. they've saved my rockers many times so I guess they do their job. no body lift-I can get you specs in the morning.

ok here's a taste of my sweet mspaint skills. all the measurements are from center to center of the pipe (so total width is ~ 6.25" since it's measured center to center at 5"). the angle bend in the 'main wing' is 30*. the 'support bars' are at whatever angle is needed to be on 9" centers. I pretty much just made the main one, put the support in the center, then notched the 2 outter supports the same and welded everything so it was semetric. I would probably make em with the supports and main wing more perpendicular next time (~60* or so) , I dunno why I picked 30*.

Those turned out great... Almost makes me want to off-road my B2!

Hey Bray D how well did that bender work for you. I keep looking at it when I go to harbor freight. I'm kinda wanting to do bumpers and sliders and just other odd jobs. and I'm afraid it wont do the bends I want. thanks for your info

Hey Bray D how well did that bender work for you.

it worked for what I wanted at the time. I'll buy a tube bender before I make my bumpers but I don't regret making what I did with the HF bender. the sliders are 1" sch. 80 pipe and with the slight bends(30*) it didn't really flatten the bends too much. I built tube doors with it also but I used 1.25" sch. 40 pipe. you can see the flattening of the corners (90* bends) on em which kinda sucks. when I build bumpers I want nice bends and light, strong material so I have to use tube and a tube bender. here's a link to my doors:
