Hello, I'm new to your forum. I've had a Ford Ranger since before they became a midsized truck. My 78 shortbox 4x4 Ranger Explorer was bought new in May of 78 in the Tri-Cities, WA, and promptly driven to Fairbanks, Ak where I was working on the pipeline at the time. She got her first off road experience somewhere around Fort Nelson Canada. They were redecking a bridge and I was told there would be a 2 hour delay. I decided to go downstream and find a spot shallow enough to cross. (Couldn't do that nowdays). Anyway my buddy and I taking turns driving, made the trip in 47 hours. Gas was 1.04 then, but now I would like to swap out the 400 for a 4.6 DOHC V-8. Could use some suggestions on how to match up to the C6 in the truck. A 4.6 will match up to a C4, but I need to know if someone builds an adaptor for the old C6? Thank you & Happy Motoring!
