Old Member Search: 93-97 Lowered Ranger on Mustang Rims

Back in the day (mid to late 2000’s) there was a pretty active member on various Ranger forums who had a very clean light gray or light blue or light purple lowered Single Cab Ranger 2WD sitting on Cobra R or similar mustang style rims. A 93-97 model.

I recall him selling it, but saw one similar the other day and wondered if it was it. I always liked it. Anyone else remember this truck and have any pics or know who owned it? For some reason I think his name was Andy and he resided in Washington state.

Any pics of similar 93-97 trucks would be fun to see too! I’m getting inspired to buy a single cab 2WD one to lower and use as my DD. I had a 98 already so considering the earlier body style for something different.

This is my 93 long box. I wanted an 83-88 short box but the 93 wasn't rusty and in NH that trumps everything. When I first saw it I didn't realize it was lowered because it was a gutted out former drag truck with no running gear and it was in a car trailer. The rear end sits on top of the springs and it has dropped I beams, rather than buy new I beams, I replaced the pivot bushings and reused them. The wheels are from a 94-5 Mustang and cost me $100 for the set at Carlisle. I had wanted stock 16" Ranger/Explorer wheels but didn't find any. It's in the garage away from the road salt all winter but I drive it often during the summer months.
