Last night my truck just randomly decided not to start. The whole electrical system just clicked once and all at once all my electronics were toasted. My gauge lights that normally illuminate when you first start the truck we’re very dim after I tried to crank and there was a relay clicking away every second or so coming from by the passenger airbag area. I jumped it and took it to Autozone just now where their battery tester detected an open relay. Is an open relay just a relay stuck open? Also I lose all power to everything and that clicking continues until I disconnect and reconnect the battery. I feel really stupid right now 😂😂 hoping you guys can help. Once I get home from Autozone I’ll upload a video. Thanks guys!

A battery test should give you volts, cranking amps, and volts under load not relay information. So you're guy at AutoZone is drunk or didn't test the battery?

What did the battery tester actually say about the battery lol.

Look at the battery connections. Make sure you follow the heavy wires to the ground and to the starter. In my experience this is a loose connection.

Bad ground wire? That's the age where stuff like that starts to show up.
