Ok...So the question everyone asks when buying a lift...

that is what lifts the rear. it puts blocks betweeen your leaf springs and axle

Np, and a Tuff Country will be fine for how you described what you will be doing with it. I would beat on one

yeah it'll hold it.. and eventually you'll want to swap out certain parts. which is why i said what i did. i wish i would have listened to people and bought certain parts like i mentioned. but the RC has been a good kit for the money.. does tuff stuff use a drop plate or whole new bracket?

What size tire could i fit comfortably with a 4" suspension and 3" BL? And does anyone happen to have a picture of a gen 2 ranger with this lift and something like 33" tires? trying to get an idea how much lift i wanna get and any more than this will break the bank :P Looking in the gallery now but its hit and miss for the correct lift im looking for lol

33's is gonna mean you gotta buy gears and regear. i'd do an 8.8/d35 swap on it for 33's if you plan to wheel it much. i've broke d28/7.5 stuff on 30's

I was going to get 4.54s but keep this axle because i dont know a thing about swaps lol. I'm not going to be doign any too serious wheeling. Just basically having some fun every once in a while. So this axle should, in theory, last thru that right? lol

And the plan was to get the lifts and tires bought, installed, and then run with stock gears for the while it takes to get the money to buy and install them. The stock gearing shouldn be fine for basic DDing right, wouldnt be taking it offroading. Just to buy everything at once is a tad expensive lol

Get the best that you can afford. You will upgrade as you wheel more.

I've had 2 JD lifts and both were top notch. My TTB lift made my Ex ride better than any lifted vehicle I've EVER ridden in. As a former shop owner, I've ridden in a lot of lifted vehicles.

BTW, I have a 4" basic JD lift for the front for sale.

if you have 7.5/d28, i wouldn't put the money into them for gears.. just remember the 8.8/d35 is almost bolt in swap. a little cut and weld... nothing major

Ya but i know literally NOTHING about what an axle even consists of... I wont be going too harsh for this beast... Like i said, its just gonna be my winter beast that if i really wanted to, i could climb that or make it thru that lol :P The 302 swap i am hoping to get done later on will be alot of money for me to do as it is since i will need someone to do 95% of the work lol :/

if you're doing a 302 you'll HAVE to have the 8.8/d35 or you'll always be broke!

? I had asked this in the conversion section and was told i would be ok with the stock drivetrain because i wont be "beefing" up the engine to make 400+ hp lol Is that a absolute need and why?
