Ok...opinions needed

Alright, I've been scouring the internet trying to find a rim that I actually like for my 2003 F350 SRW. I finally found one by Eagle Alloys that I really liked, but they have no stock on it in chrome like I want and cannot tell me when there will be more available....best they could tell me was 6 or more weeks.

This is the rim I wanted to get:

So I have been on the hunt for a replacement for it. I am looking for an 18" chrome rim with the needed 4.5" back spacing.

So far I have come to find this that I kinda like:

And also this that is growing on me, but not as much as the one above

I can also get a set of Dick Cepek DC-1's for a really good price as well:

Soooo....which one would you go with?
 
Of those options I would probably go with the DC-1s. Simple designs are better, IMO, and that one seems more simple. Less flash, more form follows function than your other choices (but only marginally).

But, I also wouldn't get 18" wheels unless I was rockin 36" plus tires. I try to follow the old adage that your tire should be twice as tall as your wheel to allow for appropriate sidewall flex while offroading.
 
Dude, its a Super Duty. I drive it every day and pull my RV with it during the summer, it's not an offroader nor will it ever be.

For 1 ton trucks, 18's are the norm now. I'm going to be running an LT275/70R18 tire on it.

With a Ranger like his I doubt the crew cab long box Superduty sees a whole lot of time offroad.
 
Yea I'm kinda diggin that beadlock look on it. It's simple yet beefy looking.

I bet you are entirely right. Where he lives, a Superduty doesn't even fit on the trails.

I still like the Dick Cepeks the best, regardless of size.
 
I vote the second rim just for the reason you mentioned but I'd go 17/20". 18s are in my experience the most expensive and hard to find tire/rim combo. I can find dirt cheap 20" rubber everywhere but be damned if I can find some good 18" rubber for the sport trac...
 
Yes, but I don't want anything but chrome. I don't want the hassle of paint or clear coat chipping or bubbling. And I don't want to be polishing wheels all the time, chrome is easy up keep.

I can get 18's any day of the week here, no one stocks much for 20" tires.

Plus I can get take off dirt cheap in 18" off of the new super dutys from work, lots of guys take them off before they leave the lot (goodyears and michelins) Plus it seems 17" are more expensive and harder to find around here than 18's.

No doubt... Might have to get some sport trac rubber from ya this summer... ROAD TRIP!
