oil sending unit


Top front driver's side. It has a slender adapter piece which pushes it off of the block by about 2" and has a single wire going to it just like the temperature gage sending unit.
 
Red wire with a white stripe.
Bulb/bell shaped, just 1" forward of the DS motor mount, in the block below the head.
 
been a long time, but I want to say look under the truck under the power steering pump.
