Oil Pressure Switch

I am trying to determine which oil pressure sensor switch, “with gauge” or “with light” I need to order.* The sensor goes on a 2000 Mazda 2500 with a four cylinder engine.** The instrument cluster contains a gauge which indicates pressure by jumping from zero to mid-scale almost instantaneously.* The local parts places, including the Mazda dealership, only sell the “with light” type of sensor.* Is this “with light” sensor compatible with this type of gauge?* This gauge, like the oil light, seems to provide only a go or no go indication as far as oil pressure goes – an idiot gauge instead of an idiot light.* I am concerned that the “with gauge” type measures true oil pressure and would be incompatible with the type of gauge I have.* I would not have a question about getting the “with gauge” type if the gauge indicated a slower rise to normal oil pressure.
