OK 86 BII 4wd 5spd. What actually needs to be taken apart to take off the oil pan? the online manual I looked at said that I had to remove the distributor and the front sway bar. Do I really need to take these off? what about anything else that might get in the way or things I need to watch out for? Thanks

im not sure if you can totally remove it on a 4wd, it would be easier to remove the engine if you're equipped to do so.

got clogged oil pump pickup?

The oil pan is removable with the engine in the truck on TTB models, but it cannot be done on 2wd Twin I-beam trucks, because of the different front crossmember. And yes clogged oil pump pickup.

i've been able to remove and reinstall the pickup with the oil pan partially removed if you can't get it out all the way
