I have and 87 mustang motor that i'm dropping in my bronco II, and i want to know if i can use the oil pan thats already on the 5.0 or do i need to buy a duel sump pan. if i have to get a new pan, is there another vehical i can get it from or is it easyer to just buy one from james duff or L&L or some else?

i think youll be ok with that one. wheres your dipstick?

i'm not sure. i bought the engine right before i deployed so i didn't notice at the time. i'm pretty sure it's not in the timing cover though. i think it's in the back.

^ agreed, fox body 5.0's had a dual sump pan to clear the k-member (engine cradle)

It's actually not a dual sump at all. The front "sump" is the space needed to house the oil pump. You've got the right pan to fit a Ranger.
