For you guys who have done either the V8 swap or a simple oil filter relocation, what kind of rubber lines did you use, hydraulic lines or simple water lines (heater hoses)?
The green lines that came with my kit have been seeping a bit at the connectors and the other day the serpentine belt came apart and ripped one off. Luckily it did it in the driveway.

Thanks in advance!

You have to use oil rated hose.

I started out with hydraulic hose, I fought and fought with the fittings trying to get them to seal but they plain wouldn't. It was too tight of an area and the swivels I needed were not available.

So I got oil rated hose and brass hose barbs. Smooth sailing since, except I hate the red hose in my otherwise green and blue engine bay...

I use teflon hose w/ swedged connectors and JIC-8 fittings, worth every penny.
The down side is that it takes a bit of mock-up and trip to an industrial hose supply.
