1993 Ranger 4.0 4X4: I have a slow drippy oil leak at the oil pan-bell housing junction. It doesn't leak during the summer and when the engine is hot. Letting it sit in the winter reveals the subject leak. Of course, the leak gets progessively worse with each winter and I suspect it'll eventually start leaking all the time.

Is this a sign of the rear main seal leaking?

i think so... in summer the seal i soft and seals better.. during the winter when it isn't as pliable an alow the leak to show it's self
