Oil dripping from canister thing with wire out the bottom. Located on front driver side of motor. Wire hangs out bottom. Could be dripping from canister thing above this one.

Am I the only one frustrated with the Chiltons manual for this model?

Are the haynes manuals any better?

Pics or it didn't happen.

Chiltons books are infinately superior to Haynes.

Both kinda suck.

Agreed with oil sender, cheap and easy fix.

It's hard to believe how bad they are. On the other hand the Ford service manuals are really good. You can get them on ebay but you may have to keep looking for a while before one shows up.
IMHO, the Ford electrical manual is a must have.

That's what I was thinking. i had two leak. One was probably original and the other was only a couple hundred miles old.

This is one of the parts where you really get what you pay for. The parts stores sell their house brand ones and they just dont last. Ive been through four or five myself. Some leak and some fail.

That's why I just replaced mine with an aftermarket mechanical kit, and bolted it to the dash just left of the shifter. Now I can see the actual oil pressure instead of just a switch that tells me I have 5+ PSI. This is the one I used but any mechanical gauge should work.
