Would an oil cooler be of value in a V8 conversion? Im using a remote filter so was thinking it would probably be easy to do.

I plan on running one after the filter when I go to do my swap here soon, as to help keep anything out of the cooler. And I was told to blow out the oil cooler before installing just incase there is any loose debrie in it.

I know that some, if not all ford exploders that had the 302's, had a built in oil cooler in the oil filter mount so I would say it cant hurt anything.

Actually an oil cooler could hurt. Oil is designed to run at 180F plus. Keep it too low and the lower temp could result in damage over an extended period of time.

Most oil coolers come with a sandwich adapter that does not open until about 180F.

Waste of money for 99%...and I'm a 1%'er....:icon_thumby:
