So my lift is done (pics below - yes it's actually lifted lol). I just installed a Sky Jacker 2" lift kit (leveling coils and AALs). I doubt i'll be doing the body lift I was planning. I now need to get new rubber. I have the 15" wheels that are on the truck and I also have the 16" version of similar style (pic below).
I know I want to purchase a set of B.F. Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO tires, so i'm good there. Just not sure on size .....
I don't have the proper lugs for the 15" rims, so the center caps don't fit snug and because of this my lug nuts get rusty. I hate this, a lot. However, 15" tires are reasonably cheaper to purchase ($30-35 each for what i'm looking at).
So right now i'm trying to figure out which rim/tire combo to use. I have the option to do summer/winter wheels if I want, but I was hoping that these tires would be good enough in the winter that I could just leave them on year 'round. Not mandatory though.
The truck is currently running on Bridgestone 205/75R15 winter tires. I at least wanted to go to the 4x4 size/look. Here's my options as I see;
1) 235/75R15 (minimal cost and minimal work)
2) 31x10.5x15
3) 245/75R16 (obviously with the 16" rims I have)
4) 265/75R16
If I go with the big rubber then i'll need to re-gear with 4.10s, so more time/cost there. I don't know that the bigger rubber would suit the minimal lift on my truck.
What do you guys think?
Thanks.
