Offroad modifications

Budget lift as someone else pointed you too already.

if you add another 0 to the 300 ill let my hpd44/9" fullwidths go. chromoly shafts full detroits F/R w/488s. i throw the suspension in to being as its set up for a 96

I put a Lock Right in my old front end.It improved off roading quite a bit especially going through snow or mud.It didn't hurt drivability any because the hubs were unlocked most of the time.

I'm thinking I'll go with a set of rock sliders then. Course this is all after new shocks, then inspection where he's redoing the brakes, fixing a somewhat minor oil leak, replacing the EGR valve, fix a rather bizarre fuel leak, and I also need to put the new front bumper on. So I have my share of work to take care of.

I've had a Richmond Loc-Rite Locker in the rear of my 88 Ranger for 10 years, works just great, its automatic, no air lines, wires or compressors. I'd like to put one in the front but its a IFS, not worth it.
Harbor Freight has a 12K winch for 300 bucks, I have one, works great, I switched out the steel cable for synthetic, much easier to use, stronger and lighter.

X2 on the rear locker. I put in a no-slip locker and couldn't be happier with the result! Also installing a winch would be the next step to add and is pretty cheap to do. I wired up a winch on a cradle so I could mount it front or rear depending on where I needed it. Just install a 2" receiver on the front and run heavy welding cable front and rear with large Anderson electrical connectors and be done with it. Here is a pic of the one I did on my Dodge Ram 2500.

Here it is on the rear of my Ranger in use pulling out my 90 F150!

F150 Stuck! Buried to the frame!
