I have been thinking that it would be cool to have one thread where people can ask what other members would be willing to pay for truck-related items. I figure this is a good place to ask since I've seen quite a few threads asking about how much others would pay for somethign. Feel free to comment if you think of something I missed.

Rules:
1. NO COMPLETE VEHICLES, even parts trucks! Use KBB or NADA. Cabs, frames, etc are ok.
2. NO SELLING/OFFERING/ETC IN THIS THREAD - Keep it to PM
3. Vehicle related parts only! This can be anything - engines, interior, etc, just not your couch or whatever.
4. Post a good description. Include mileage, condition, color, etc.
5. Pics are OK, but keep the file sizes and resolution fairly small.
6. It's ok to ask about stuff you're selling or buying.
7. Respond only with reasonable prices! My pot of gold is worth more than $3 and I don't want to hear why I should be giving it away.
8. Non-Ford stuff is cool.
9. No arguing, flaming, etc, obviously.
10. Be specific, no "random boxes of parts"
11. Post your responses here, the idea is that it will be somewhat searchable.

I think that about covers it - I'll start first (just some examples for me, to start with).

1 - Ford NP435 2wd tranny, good shape, clean and painted, no bellhousing.
2 - Explorer 8.8 l/s, 4.10s, low mileage, disks, needs paint
3 - 80-86 F150 doors, good shape, minor rust and small dents.

Nope, just trying to create something so people can get an idea of what their stuff might be worth. :icon_thumby:

Hmmmmm. Clean and painted, but no rebuild? That's a tough one. Depends on mileage.

$100 to $150 maximum. They are a dime a dozen at the local yards around here. I picked mine up for less than $100.

Minor rust? $25 bucks a piece.

If they were mint with original paint and ZERO rust? Well, you wouldn't want to know how much I'd pay. If anyone knew what I paid for a pair of mint doors for my '88 X-cab, I would have people beating down my door to sell me their junk. :icon_rofl:

My turn. How about these:

1. 1987 T-bird Turbo Coupe Hood and trunk. ZERO rust, but paint has seen better days.

2. Front and rear bumper covers for same car as above in the same shape (no cracks or breaks, just faded paint).

3. Brand new windshield for same car. No chips or anything. Just has to be removed without breaking!

Hood & trunk - 100 for hood, 50-75 for trunk
bumper covers - 25-50?
windsheild - 50-75?

Assume around 100k for the NP435, was in fairly low mileage wrecked truck. Minor rust on doors is one pinhole on one door, none on the other and paint is in very good shape. Sounds about right for the axle, I got it for 150.

Sounds good to me! Even on the low end, that covers 1/3 of the cost of the car.

I would go as high as 300 for the NP435. Maybe a bit higher if I was on one of my nostalgic trips, depending on the vehicle it was going in.

i got my explorer 8.8 l/s drum brakes delivered 50 miles away for $100 including gas money and the dude drove a v10 when gas was $4 a gallon

Ive got a few Q's

Clean Gen1. Short bed, no rust.

fiberglass truck caps.

the gen1 bed I would estimate to be worth a mans left testicle or 100-150 dollars up here in the rust belt. Down your way, 100 dollars Max because rust is much less of an issue and supply is most likely much higher.

3 Dana 35 manual hubs, 2 Ford, 1 Warn.

1 warn (not jeep lock outs)= 20-60 dollars HEAVILY dependent on the availability of used ones.

1 Ford(made by warn)= 5-40 dollars depending on availability in the buyers area.
