OE Side Step Mounting?

I picked these up a few days ago, gonna try to put them on this weekend.

I have a cursory look under the truck to see where / how they attach.

Anyone familiar with them?

I'm not familiar with OEM bars like that. But, if they are truly Ford parts, the mounting holes should be there. Crawling under and holding them up in place should make it obvious. One or more mounting holes may be shared with other items.

Mine attached to the body of the cab, one bracket back at the corner of the cab and one behind the front mudflap

That's how I thought the OE steps mounted.
These seemed to be a frame mount style?
That's what confused me a bit too.

First step is figuring out which end is the front and which is the rear.
If it's nice on Saturday I'll crawl around under there for a bit...

Only set of those I've ever put on mounted to the cab mounts. But that was on a 90s Chevy...

Sorry about that, just saw this so I walked down for some pictures. The end closest to the camera was the front and yes, it did get a little bent. On mine that front attached to a bent plate mounted behind the mudflaps. I haven’t fought the rust to get them off the truck and I have a crappy pic of them because the light is fading and I didn’t think to take a flashlight along and stupid modern technology doesn’t like to use a camera flash. The back end of mine attached to the back corner of the rocker panel.

Side note, lowered trucks and step bars do not mix well.

So it looks like the kind of L shaped brackets with the two bolts go to the back.
I'mma lay them on the ground under the truck tomorrow to orient my myself to where the mounting points are and figure out if I need hardware or want needs to come out, as someone else said, it's likely they are shared with something else.

Ya, anything hanging off the side or bottom of a lowered truck is begging for trouble.
There's a reason I replaced the plastic splash shield on my GTI with a steel Panzer Plate from DieselGeek!

Fortunately, as soon as I can source a set of pre-07 rear blocks my Ranger is going to grow about 3"
